Erik van der Weijde makes photographs, extremely straight forward photographs, almost surreal in their illustrational character, and often with a hint of irony in their subject.
Erik will get married soon, and although this is all the more confirmation of his life as it is, he will find out that as soon as the hint of irony makes place for a more shameless exhibitionistic layer in his work, the grin on his face will become a wonderful smile.
